Intern season is here again at J. Walter Thompson New York!
On Thursday, June 18, our 2015 intern class spent the day at the Food Bank of New York repacking more than 6,000 pounds of meat, enough for 5,291 meals. We couldn’t be more proud!
The J. Walter Thompson New York internship program includes a day of service to promote bonding between interns, while giving back to the city in which they live and work. What better way to give back than to partner with the Food Bank of New York, which has been helping New Yorkers for more than 30 years?

Olivier van Hauwermeiren (Digital Strategy) and Aleksandria Wells (Planning)
“My favorite part of the day was bonding with the other interns while helping the community,” Alek said.
Jared Feldman (Public Relations) marveled at how just a few hours can help so many families in need. “We were there for two-and-a-half hours and we provided over 5,000 meals,” he said. “That’s amazing.”
Jaehyun Cho (Creative), Marika Cusick (Analytics) and Jeein Lee (Creative)
Jeein said it felt great to be a part of the day of service: “I felt surprised by the magnitude of food shortage in New York. It was great to see many people attempting to solve this problem with a quality service like the Food Bank.”
Tegan Henderson (Account Management), Ilana Brown (Production)
Tegan said, “My favorite part of the volunteer day was getting to know the fellow interns. I don’t get to see interns in other departments often, so it was fun spending some time with them in a fun and compassionate environment.”
